Huge fire continues in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate

Firefighters and police still could not control a blaze at a tire factory in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong province on Saturday.

As of 5pm, FM 91 Trafficpro reported in its twitter and Facebook that firefighters so far could not put out the fire that broke out after sounds of explosions were heard in the industrial estate.

The incidents injured many people. They were rushed to hospital nearby but there are no reports of injuries.

Rayong Governor Senee Jittakasem ordered evacuations of people and workers from the areas. Fortunately the factory is far from living quarters.

As of the press time black smokes with bad smelling were seen at the area.
